Not pictured: A super rad t-shirt and the (signed) DVD. Art prints by chrishaley, jeisma, RK Milholland, and I believe the last one is Robert Wilson, but I cannot find a signature anywhere.
So everyone should definitely head to their site and watch the series, especially if you're a fan of comic books.
Why I Don't Have Business Cards at Conventions
With comic convention season getting into full swing, one thing I come across more and more is people coming by my table wanting my business card.
When I first started doing shows, I'd have a stack there for the taking, but as I've done more and more shows, I've pretty much just stopped having them out. Cost is one reason--I'd rather spend the money getting prints made or more books ordered. The main reason, though, as it's just been unnecessary. Many people will just walk by and mindlessly grab a business card and walk off without even saying a word. I think I can count on one hand the amount of times someone got my card at a show and contacted me. More meaningful contacts have been from me sharing my contact info, or people meeting me, then looking me up and writing me. Not to say that everyone else should do all the work, but I just got to the point with business cards where I didn't see the point anymore. I'll save them for networking after the show.
(TL;DR) So yeah, chances are, if you see me at a show, I won't have a business card. :) I'll gladly write my info down for you, though!
