Sixty-Five Parkway
Jellybread, 1970
#Let's get to know old friends📌
And we will begin our acquaintance with this band with their last studio album in 1972.
Jellybread – Back To Begin Again
Label: Blue Horizon – 2931 004
Country: UK
Released: 1972
Genre: Blues Rock
Formed at the University of Essex in England by pianist Pete Wingfield, Jellybread originally included Paul Butler (guitar/vocals) John Best (bass) and Chris Waters (drums). In 1969, the quartet got a contract with the famous Blue Horizon label. In total, they released three albums designed in a mix of blues and soul elements. During the recording, they were often assisted by well-known producer and musician Mike Vernon, who actually owned Blue Horizon. His clients included John Mayall, Fleetwood Mac, Chicken Shack, Duster Bennett, Savoy Brown and Ten Years After.Jellybread has been accompanied by Lightnin’ Slim's and B.B. King in London as session musicians. They also took part in B.B. King's landmark album "In London" (1971). And although Jellybread achieved significant commercial success, they disbanded. Wingfield has enjoyed success as a solo artist and session pianist. Guitarist Paul Butler has collaborated with Chicken Shack and other bands as a session musician....
...... In 1971, their second album "65 Parkway" was released on Blue Horizon, and in 1972 their third album "Back To Begin Again". By the way, these releases have never been reissued due to contractual restrictions, and it is unlikely that they will be available in digital format in the near future. As session musicians, almost all members of Jellybread took part in B.B. King's landmark album "In London" (1971), at that time it became the highest point of their professional recognition."
