Okay, but, currently I want an AU where young, brilliant biochemist Jemma Simmons is dating agent Grant Ward and he cheats on her with hacker and agent-in-the-making Daisy Johnson. The two girls find out about his deception and elaborately scheme to get him back, becoming bffs in the process
also they rely heavily on their mutual friend Antoine ‘Trip’ Triplett, taking him along for the ride. They do get satisfaction from getting back at Grant, but they both have some healing to do, and Trip is always there for the both of them (along with Bobbi and her on-again-off-again boyfriend, Hunter, and some other friends i suppose)
Somehow, Jemma, Daisy, and Trip manage to stumble into a threeway ‘friends with benefits’ deal for a little while, until they start meeting other people. Jemma briefly dates a guy named Will who is every bit as hot as her ex, but much nicer. Unfortunately, they weren’t made to last and Jemma slips back into the fwb situation with Daisy and Trip once again
Eventually, the agency they work for gets ideas about starting a task force for something or other, and they look to Bobbi to help put it together. She reaches out to various friends and their recommendations, and comes up with Jemma, Daisy, Trip, Hunter, Mack, and Leo Fitz.

Their first meeting is a fairly casual one, with Fitz and Simmons managing to be a little awkward around each other but still hit it off marvelously. Trip had mentioned his engineer friend to Jemma before, but he hadn’t piqued her interest until she actually met him. He’s so different from the guys she’s been with in the past, so at first she doesn’t consider him much of an option, but slowly she notices how adorable she thinks he is, how well they mesh in personality and manner and everything.
Daisy and Trip realize what’s happening before Jemma even fully notices it herself. Thankfully, they aren’t jealous lovers, and they want to see their girl happy so they gently and subtly nudge her towards Fitz when they can. They want her to come to the conclusion on her own, though, so they don’t push so hard (on the other side of things, Hunter is constantly nagging Fitz to ask Jemma out or do something about his crush)
Eventually, FitzSimmons, as they’ve been dubbed by the rest of their team, do become an item. It was a confusing way there, considering Fitz had actually seen Jemma kissing both Daisy and Trip. It takes a little awkward explaining somewhere along the lines, and Fitz doesn’t entirely get it (he doesn’t like having sex without romantic intentions, but he can understand plenty people are fine with it). As well, Daisy and Trip make sure to tell him how important Jemma is to them, even if they aren’t romantically involved. Fitz gets the message, and Mack vouches that Jemma ought to avoid hurting Fitz as well. Hunter rolls his eyes and agrees, yeah, nobody wants anybody to get hurt because they all bloody care for each other in some way, shape, or form.
I figured Jemma would meet another dude while away... because TV shows never let couples fans want be together. Before tonight I was referring to hypothetical character as Groo (after the random dude Cordelia met in Pylea).
When the trailer had her saying it was “hell” I hoped she meant hel, as in the underworld and that it would be Trip.
Because I’m in denial about Trip being dead still. So I was disappointed with random white guy, although he is hot. I don’t blame Jemma for hitting that one bit.
The part that made me tear up was Fitz not being pissed and helping her at the end. I wish fans could be cool like that.
