hey! just wanted to stop by and (tentatively) join the debate going on right now about our beloved Cosima. I've been reading a few of the links posted by the person who is so against Cosima's dreads, and I have to say, they do make sense to an extent. I'm sort of hoping she'll get called out for her hair- maybe if she meets Art, or another character who is actually PoC. I don't think the character or the writers are intending to offend. That said, I strongly disagree with that (to be cont.)

Daffodil: What's the most thoughtful present you've ever received?

Well, okay. I have three stories. Okay. So I have my two favorite bands, yeah? (Crown the Empire and Icon for Hire) Many people know this. A friend of mine went a concert of Crown the Empire's and he brought me back a signed cd and oh my god I almost cried it was the sweetest present. My boyfriend, on the other hand, gave me a signed poster from Icon for Hire and THAT was quite amazing as well. Overall, those two things were very emotional presents. The other wasn't really a present but one of my best friends wrote me a page in my yearbook that was basically a letter telling me that even though I'm not perfect, she looks up to me and still thinks I'm a good person. As someone who struggles with self-confidence and all that fun stuff, I started crying and ahhhhh I really have amazing people around me ok they are thoughtful and they are the real gifts.

Locust: What was your favorite book as a child?

Probably Dealing with Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede. I loved the cover art oh my god (the revamp) and I LOVED the idea of a princess who said "eh, fuckit imma do what i wanna do." It really inspired me and got me into reading.

Marigold: Do you listen to what's on the radio?
