I read both of these cutesy contemporaries this month--devoured them, more like, and definitely sacrificed sleep for--really, really liked them! Sometimes contemporaries just hit the spot, and these were the best kind: cute and fluffy, but still with some depth and substance. And, of course, my favorite: romance. 👌🏻 LOVE & GELATO and SHUFFLE, REPEAT both had excellent voice that started on page one and stayed until the end, and I looove that--so, clearly, I'd recommend them both! /// Also: BUBBLES! I tried taking this picture by holding my phone squeezed between my calves, then using one hand for the shutter and the other for blowing bubbles, but eventually I gave up and asked my mom to do the bubbles.
