Yesterday, we had the blessing of celebrating my dad's birthday. We enjoyed a delicious dinner, featuring hamburger steak, loaded baked potatoes, peas and carrots, and homemade cornbread muffins. For dessert, I made a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. I thank God for the blessing of food on our table and a roof over our heads. I am especially grateful to God for the blessing of a wonderful, loving father who is a reflection of the love of Jesus Christ. Today, my dad made homemade chicken parmesan, tagliatelle topped with tomato basil sauce, broccoli and carrots, and garlic bread. The chicken parmesan was made-from-scratch, beginning with the chicken being pounded out for tenderization. Then, we had had brownies à la mode for dessert!
