popping on here real quick to tell you that these will probably be my first two books of 2020! because I am studying for finals (haha, trying to and pretending would be better verbs to use) I have little to no mental capacity for a fictional story right now, so non-fiction seems like the perfect choice for me. I have been dipping into No One is Too Small to Make a Difference since I got it for Christmas and I am really trying to savour it and not read all of Greta’s speeches all at once. I really want to learn more about the environment and climate change in 2020 and I feel Greta is the right person to teach me. I greatly admire her passion for climate justice and how outspoken she is, especially being a young girl in a world dominated by men who mock her for every word. if those men read/listened to at least one of her speeches they would shut right up. many men come into the bookstore I work at and mock Greta, and I want to be more educated so I can educate them 💪🏻 A History of Britain in 21 Women seems like an essential read for someone studying English literature and culture (who is also a woman and a feminist), and since the individual stories aren’t longer than 25 pages each, it will be great for taking a break during studying. what will be your first read(s) of 2020? let me know! 😌 #books #bookstagram #gretathunberg #nooneistoosmalltomakeadifference #jennimurray #ahistoryofbritainin21women #feminism #climatechange #nonfiction https://www.instagram.com/p/B60sPmQA47W/?igshid=ah1a2u1sjzea
