DAMMIT, JENSEN...

Do you possibly know when/what event Jensen said the thing about all their wives having sex with Misha?

Indeed I do! It was at this year’s UK Con and those of us in the Cockles Dumpster absolutely freaked out over it.

The initial tweet actually said that it was Jared who had said that (and if you were in the audience without the benefit of being able to see their lips move it would be easy to think so) but, nope, definitely Jensen. Misha is joking that the fact that he’s on the show is the only reason why his wife has sex with him and then, after some Comedy Nodding from J2, Jensen says “That’s really the only reason that all of our wives…” [pauses] [makes eye contact with Misha] “…have sex with you” [cracks up].

Sooooo, yeah. That was a thing that happened!

Do you have any idea how come nobody took a video of the gag reel at Comic Con? I was hoping to get the Cockles moment when Cas died :(

I, too, am mourning the loss of the SDCC footage we often get including the gag reel. I’m assuming we didn’t get pirated footage because Osric wasn’t there. He usually videos and posts it and we are all eternally grateful. He not only has a better vantage point (up in the WB box) but I imagine they crack down far less hard on him than they would on your run-of-the-mill audience member. But no Osric means no gag reel yet.

Don’t lose heart, though because I hear from firsthand reports that the Cockles ball-slapping moment is indeed on the gag reel…and that right before it happens there’s footage of Jensen being all rough while he ties Misha up with those yellow curtains and that’s BOUND (see what I did there?) to give me some FEELINGS!!

And can I just say that it’s amazing that on film that moment is so emotionally weighty; Jensen did an incredible job conveying Dean’s grief and despair. It was one of my favorite moments of all season. And yet, between takes, he’s clearly delighted to be clowning around with Misha and unnecessarily touching him just because he can. If that’s not the difference between Destiel and Cockles in miniature I don’t know what is.

So…stay strong! We just have to keep waiting! I’m trying to enjoy the heightened anticipation, knowing that good stuff is coming soon.
