friday late night thoughts on jpop/jent in general
In the span of time I’ve been away from Jent in general, I’ve gotten sad, disappointing news one after another. I’ll bullet point them in no particular order:
- Miura Haruma untimely passing away (I was an Amuse JP stan, dammit and this is more sad than just disappointing. And for the record, the only Amuse Inc. talent I follow now is Mizoguchi Takuya, when I can...so...)
- Tegoshi turning out to be an asshat with his tell-all, Avalanche photobook thing. RIP Tegoshi’s career after this one. Let’s see what commotion this will wreck among Jyanis stans. Thankfully I’m not one and have only been there momentarily for some Arashi, very early Kis-My-Ft2 and Ya-Ya-Ya (spelling?).
- Radwimps’ Yojiro Noda’s comments, opinions re: eugenics, euthanasia. I’ve been impartial to Radwimps for a while now but after this and Go Gatsu no Hae (I am/was a Yoshitaka Yuriko fan so...), I’m noping outta here. I used to be a Radwimps fan.
I leave Jent for a tad it and I see some of it burned to cinders. Well...
PS I hope Iijima Hiroki from KR Ex-Aid (one of my favorite more recent Kamen Rider?) gets well soon. Ugh. He tested positive for COVID 19. Not entirely sure if asymptomatic or not but still... :(
