The Kid Talk ft Yoongi

(A/N: I was talking to @personawife about some fluff writing and this prompt came up. It could’ve been fluffier I’m sure, but my emo ass always has to add a touch of angst. Enjoy!)

You were wide awake, Yoongi sleeping soundly next to you. You wanted to curse at him for his ability to fall asleep so quickly while you were kept awake with your thoughts.

You had been married for a few years now and things couldn’t have been better. Your long relationship survived the beginning of his music career, him being a worldwide celebrity, Conscription, and him being reintroduced to the idol world after that. 

You’d managed to make it through all of that and yet asking your husband about having kids seemed to be something you didn’t know if you could make it through. You’d always talked about kids but now that he was producing again and just as busy as the old days you weren’t sure if you were still on the same page.

You were so lost in your own thoughts that you didn’t even notice that Yoongi was now sitting up in bed next to you. You were only aware of his presence when you felt his fingers lightly move the hair from your forehead. 

“What’re you thinking so hard about, love?” he asked, his voice rough from sleep. 

You bit your lip a little as you looked up at his beautiful, sleepy face. You sat up next to him, your knees coming up under your chin.

 Might as well just rip the bandaid off now.

“I think...” you started, getting a little quieter, “I think I want a kid.”

You watched his puzzled face and braced yourself for whatever was to come next.

“Like,” he said, a little confused, “you want me to steal you one?”

You knew your face bordered amusement and “what the fuck did you just say?” and it couldn’t even be controlled. You were absolutely silent. 

And then the gummy smile appeared as he began laughing loudly. 

“I haven’t seen you make that face in so long,” he grinned before enveloping you in his arms.

You wriggled a little in his arms, facing him.

“What face?” you inquired, pinching his cheek. 

“The ‘I don’t know if I should laugh or smack the shit out of you’ face,” he chuckled, “it’s actually really cute.”

You crossed your arms across your chest with a huff and a pout. He wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you towards him, nuzzling into your neck. 

“Lord help me if our kids look as cute pouting as you do,” he said with a sweet kiss, “because I’m never gonna be able to say no to any of you.”

“Is that confirmation that you want them too?” you asked happily, turning to straddle him.

“Absolutely,” he grinned, “wanna get started now?”
