During her winning game, she answered a clue about the B-52’s correctly, but didn’t get one about SZA
“Jackie Fuchs, who played bass for the Runaways from 1975 to 1977 under the name Jackie Fox, is a contestant on tonight’s episode of “Jeopardy!” It’ll mark Fuchs’ second episode on the show, following her debut last Friday, December 14 when she became the new champion, winning $14,200.
According to the J! Archive fan site, there were even two music-related clues in the Friday episode: “In this song by the B-52’s, ‘we were at the beach, everybody had matching towels’” (“What is ‘Rock Lobster?’”); and “Solana Imani Rowe performs under this 3-letter name, as on ‘All the Stars’ with Kendrick Lamar” (“Who is SZA?”). Fuchs got the B-52’s; nobody got SZA.
Update (12/19, 7:58 p.m. ET): She’s on a roll! Fuchs won her fourth game in a row of “Jeopardy!” on Wednesday, December 19. She won by correctly answering a question about the poet Dylan Thomas.
Update (12/20, 8:02 p.m. ET): Sadly, all good things must come to an end. Fuchs winning streak ended on her fifth appearance.
Fuchs, who is now an attorney and writer in Los Angeles, has appeared on TV game shows in the past. In 2013, she was on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” and “The Chase.”
