21 years ago, @jerrylopez and @wartooth1979 picked me up from my apartment in St. Louis and the three of us were the crew for @mychemicalromance for an club tour where they were opening for @avengedsevenfold
This was my first nationwide tour, and I sold t shirts for the band, slept in a van, and fell in love with this rad band from New Jersey. Even though I only worked for them for about 6 months, I have so many great memories for those tours. I met @flemingfinn while he was selling shirts for Noise Rarchet on the avenged tour, and he’s one of my best friend to this day. I remember on warped tour I would have to borrow @sugenasty cellphone because I couldn’t afford one. The thing I remember the most is how down to earth the guys were.
It’s been insane to see how big they’ve gotten since those days of sleeping in the gullet of the van. I was so floored to see 40k people in all black take over sodo.
The concert was one of the best productions I’ve seen. The first part of the show was the black parade in its entirety, and felt as theatric as The Wall.
The second part of the show was played in the round and was stripped down. I was able to get right up front, and it felt just like seeing them at the creepy crawl again. It was so fun to see them having such a great time on stage.
