Tuesday surprises
Went ahead and spent 3+ hours at the gym lifting and riding. Rewarded with Alabama not electing a shitty human to the Senate. I have a lot of penance to do if that is the rate of exchange to get Alabama football #17.

Rest week
Well, I am in the middle of a recovery week. Great, right? Except the race I was supposed to do Saturday is cancelled due to weather and trail conditions. So all that rest and no race. Dammit.
Back in the saddle
I have had a slow 2 weeks of training. Sickness and the asthma I do not have came for a visit. It is not totally gone, but manageable with good drugs (like bacitracin in your nose and albuterol and zyrtec and aleve and nasal steroids and my fav humidifier). Training has resumed with a vengeance. BRING IT DUFOUR. I will conquer training peaks!!!

Christmas rest dayish
Last "off" day for nutrition between now and Sea Otter classic. Super easy spin or off the bike after a big weekend. Fun times.
Christmas Eve Ride
Pulled out 4+ on the bike today. Cold and misty the entire ride. Trails at Coldwater drain well so at least my bike is ok. Descending is improving as is my climbing. So much better off than 1 month ago. Here is to more improvements on the horizon.
Cold. This is my pit stop after my final hill climb interval. Adding a wind proof full length jacket. Helped tremendously. View from lookout at Oak Mountain State Park off Peavine Road. Rain had stopped so at least you could see Birmingham in the distance.
No guilt allowed for rest days. That is all.
