Slytherin section of The Hogwarts Gazette.

‘Regulus Black, seeker of the Slytherin team, from his second year onwards, has recently been promoted to team captain! He’s just started his sixth  year and has apparently been playing Quidditch from his childhood onwards, coming from a well-esteemed pureblood family. His estranged brother, seventh-year, Gryffindor, Sirius, has played beater on their team for the past two years, whilst his best friend, James Potter, is captain. When we spoke to Regulus about his new position, he seemed terribly joyous as he knew he his family would be happy for him.

Regulus comes from a longline of purebloods, so he is an exemplar Slytherin. He excels in Charms and Herbology and still has extra time to practice with the team.’

light + nico di angelo

light was something nico has associated with despair, judgement, and the happiness of other people. a flash of light had taken his mother away when he was young, the light in bianca’s eyes had disappeared when she’d stolen the hades figurine for him, and light had seemed to float around percy and his radiant smile everywhere he went. nico had grown to resent the light and fled to the land of the dead to escape it. 

it wasn’t until will solace smart-mouthed his way into nico’s life that light started to take on more positive connotations. light didn’t stop reminding him of what he’d lost, it simply reminded him of all of the good things in his life, too. light bounced off of will’s hair as he walked in his father’s sunlight. will’s smile brought a new, warmer light into rooms. will dragged nico out during the day to fix his, quite literal, vitamin d deficiency and they fell asleep together, in apollo’s warm light. 

nico laced his fingers through will’s sun darkened skin and watched the way that light played over his blue eyes with an absent smile on his lips. it was an amazing thing to think about, how one person could completely and utterly change his understanding of the world. 

“what are you thinking about?” will’s voice filtered over nico’s sun-warm haze and he turned his head to smile over at his boyfriend.

“you. and how you’re my personal ray of really annoying sunshine.” 

will laughed and closed the space between them with a kiss and a whispered, “that’s gay.”
