KEITH BUNNNNNN!!!!
Guys LOOK at this awesome commission @jessadilla did of my character Mirrin. Look at it. I play her on Isnit Weyrd, the RP site I founded about 6-7 years ago and just discovered is still going strong.
Mirrin’s a hedge witch (think medieval village witch with a healthy sprinkling of Terry Pratchett’s witches and some romani influences thrown in) and her specialisms are herbalism and scrying at the boundary places between worlds.
“Being a witch is about magic and spells, sure. But more than that, it’s about doing what needs to be done.”
Commissioned @jessadilla for this piece, featuring @littleoddstar's Ghilan Lavellan and my See'liathen "Isabeau" Lavellan. Smol adopted brother and swole adopted sister, they're so cute:3
I drew this smooch for @jessadilla of her Sole Survivor, Birdy and Hancock. I love these kids.
this just in, jessadilla‘s version of andraste continues to be my favourite
Did you kind of make up how Garrus looks sans uniform? Or is there a source out there that I am lacking? Because I'm looking at him all like *heart eyes* the way you draw him! Well I've loved your art for years in general but it amazes me when people can draw the ME alien cast like HOW. I am quite envious! I want to draw pretty aliens too!!
Yeah, no, I am 100% pulling it out of my ass! I’m sure you’ve seen the turian concept art out there, and I looked at other artists’ takes on it too… Mostly the cowl as anatomy just baffles and infuriates me (also the vertical plates on the abdomen in the concept art??? Do they have no bending movement in their torso????), so I was just trying to make it work in a way that seemed feasible and more visually consistent to me. I took a look into armadillos and pangolins too, just to see what was up with mammals that have carapaces/plates.
But if it makes you feel better, Garrus is pretty much the only alien I don’t absolutely have to go back and look at references for (I still do for his visor, armor, and facial tattoos and then I go “oh, shit, I’ve been drawing the mandibles wrong again!”) and that’s only because I have a shit ton of sketches that will never see the light of my scanner because they’re incredibly not right.
Here’s a dA gallery with tons of model sheets that are like, so amazingly helpful for armor/outfits, at the very least. queensimia did an interesting turian anatomy thing and also posted pictures of an early turian model from bioware. I think it was her stuff that inspired me to give up on trying to keep with a somewhat official model and do what I wanted with it, cuz hey until they inevitably show a naked turian in me4 and completely shoot me down, there’s no canon!
(PS: You should know that you and your cute art are probably 50% of the reason I was looking forward to starting Dragon Age… and 100% of the reason I was like, “okay, where’s this Fenris guy” until I looked it up and saw he doesn’t come in until 2.)
Dear Jessje, these are for you, because you are a fabulous lady.
No, that's not what I wanted.
Not that either.
Yes, good.
All Ursula wanted to do was to get away from Cyrodiil for a while and visit her best friend, Niamh. Of course Niamh HAD to go and pick a meeting place that happened to be around an ambush spot between warring factions. So not only is Ursula caught, but when she escapes, she has to look for Niamh's ass all over the gods' creation!
