retiring Jesse
Jesse’s one of my oldest “successful” characters (along with Lotus and Elenore). I had several Maximum Ride OCs before them and let’s not even mention the OCs before that. Jesse’s a character that really does mean a lot to me but I haven’t had the motivation to do anything with him in a really long time. He’s not as interesting as a lot of my other characters and trying to do anything with him frustrates me.
So for that reason, among others, I’m no longer going to be using Jesse. I’ve actively used him as a character since 2011 so saying I’m scrapping him feels, I don’t know, disrespectful. I’m going to go ahead and say I’m retiring him as a character. That sounds nicer.

Mariana x Keenan
accidentally falls off the bed in the middle of the night: Keenan because he sometimes hangs halfway off the bed
gives the other piggy back rides: Keenan is like “Mariana I’ll give you a piggy back ride if you give me one” she doesn’t usually go for it
tries to act tough but is really a giant sap: Mariana maybe ?
almost burns down the kitchen trying to bake: when they first get together Keenan is a terrible cook but Mariana cooks/bakes with him for a while and he gets a lot better
sings lullabies to their kids: Keenan!
morning person vs dead until they get their coffee: once Keenan’s awake, he’s very much awake and doesn’t need anything to help him get up. Mariana takes a little longer to wake up
cries during sappy movies: neither of them cry but Keenan gets really hooked try to talk to him and he’ll just shush you or he won’t even notice you talking
wears a billion layers because they get cold easily: Mariana. Keenan loooves the cold

Jesse’s family has two dogs, a cat, a pig, and a horse. Jesse has a bulldog, named Jack Sparrow, and the family has a rottweiler, named Watson. The, pig, Winchester, belongs to his younger sister. The horse, Monty belongs to Kory. The cat is named Buffy.
Lotus has a Maine Coon cat named Nefertiti (Neffy for short). She had a white rabbit named March Hare but it really belongs to her step-mom now.
Parker has a blue-tick coonhound named Huckleberry.
Keenan’s family has two dogs, a Neapolitan Mastiff named Mozart and a Saint Bernard named Beyonce.
Ashley’s family has several pets. Ashley has a spectacled owl, named Kenrick. Isabella has a barn owl named Jelly and Joaquin has a barn owl named Peanut Butter. Oscar has a fat Persian cat named Frodo. Daniel has a Blanchard’s Cricket toad named Nemo. Alonso and Laura have pygmy puffs, named Nessa and Elphaba.
Owen has an orange tabby cat, Africa. Idris has a northern saw-whet owl, Ganymede. Pepper has a rat named Sulley and Edith has a pygmy puff named Jose. Oliver has a toad named Anakin Skywalker.
Vivie has a white short-haired cat named Pine Needle. Her brother Alfie has a black rat named Reaper.
Zeke gets a Siamese cat in his last year at EA and names him Czar.
Riley has three female mice named Poppy, Munro, and Fancy. When they leave the team, Riley gets a chinchilla and names her Lola.

They’re frenemies. Mostly because they’re both competitive to the point where it’s no longer healthy competition and they just want to destroy each other in everything.
She really appreciates how hard-working he is though.
They kind of shift through stages of wanting to beat the other one at everything and being chill enough to hang around each other calmly.
Lotus teaches Jules a bunch of vegetarian/vegan recipes she’s learned over the years and they make them together when they aren’t being ridiculously competitive.
Jules appreciates that Lotus has never once acted like he can’t do something because of his arm.

He hates school. With a passion. Because his dyslexia is really bad, even by demigod standards, and he’s a really slow learner, school really isn’t his forte. He struggles to get Cs and usually ends up with Ds. In high school, he cuts class a lot to cover other people’s shifts at work or because he’s not ready for the test that day.
Vivie+ favorite spells
She likes spells that are pretty and a lot of the spells from Charms class. But honestly her favorite is probably the patronus charm. It’s really beautiful and unique, in her opinion. She also loves that it results from happiness and good memories.

They get into really deep conversations about the meaning of life and the universe
He’s received like two dozen friendship bracelets from her over the years. He’s lost a few of them but she doesn’t care
super gay best friends that are super comfortable with each other
seriously they hold hands and cuddle a lot and it’s nbd
when she finds out about his eating disorder, she cries for hours (not when he’s around she doesn’t want to make things worse for him)
