Y’all want some really dumb Modern Jetko hcs?

What am I saying of course you do. 

This ended up being way longer than I intended so I’ll put them under a cut, but let me know if you want more. I think about these two a lot.

Zuko is a trust fund kid. I’m sorry, but he is. 

He dropped out of college like two years in and works at the Jasmine Dragon or babysits his half sister sometimes, but mostly he lives off his family's money. 

Jet bullies him for this a Lot

‘Boke, Jet-kun’ is like half of Zuko’s vocabulary at this point

Bullying your partner is a love language actually. 

Jet has like a shit fashion sense

He mostly wears t-shirts with the gay Sino Soviet Communist propaganda on them and big sweaters/ sweatshirts or very atl/ cowpunk

He wears spurs and sometimes cowboy boots because half of his family is from down South and the other is from out West

Zuko, who is like four inches shorter than him, steals these a lot which leads to sweater paws

Zuko dresses like a spicy mix of a dark academia kid, an e-boy, and Guy Fieri. He is none of those things. He is an edgy bitch who played high school and college volleyball.

He’s like Hamlet but buff.

He also has a bob cut because he cut his hair right before he decided to drop out of college and is now growing it out, which is like -2 intimidation, but +5 adorable

Jet really likes Lord of the Rings ‘they’re a family Zuko, and they’re a LGBT’

He doesn’t watch like the last 20 min. of Return of the King and has a rewrite of the last scene where Eowyn gets elected Stewardess of Gondor instead on his google doc.

He is currently working on a rewrite of GOT that doesn’t suck despite having not watched past the first season. 

The Freedom Fighters are a DnD group with Jet as the DM

Zuko bullies him for this a Lot

They both have poor impulse control and steal a lot, so now they have a shelf full of the weirdest stuff they’ve stolen which includes but is not limited to:

A jar full of lighters The entire LoTR book series (with the Silmarillion and the Hobbit) A whole bunch of crystals 15 decks of cards  A gold tea set  And three of the six cowboy hats that they own

Jet works at a bakery and brings Zuko a lot of cinnamon rolls (they’re his favorite)

Jet is actually a really good cook but he still makes omelettes into scrambled eggs EVERY TIME

The only thing Zuko can cook is a perfect omelette. Jet is not happy about this. 

They have a set movie night every Friday

A24 films were banned six weeks in to this ritual because they had watch The Lighthouse four times already and the other two nights they watched Eighth Grade

Jet really likes horror movies but gets really scared at almost all of them 

Zuko doesn’t really care about horror movies, he appreciates a good one, but he likes when Jet clings to him like a koala after so he puts up with them.

They sleep with very large bulbasaur and charizard stuffed animals

They are both so stupid and so in love

Headcanon that Doopliss and Jet know each other and are pretty good friends 

And not just because Doopliss commissions stuffed animals from Jet all the time for kids he performs magic to and Doopliss is his number one customer
