the question was meant to be an icebreaker--ansel knows that much. but it felt too much to be a coincidence for someone to ask him such things. was he perhaps an undercover journalist? then again, the other doesn’t seem like someone who would do such things.

even if he does, nothing could guarantee ansel would tell the truth. he lied to himself for all these years, why would that change anytime soon?

“hmm,” he rubs his chin in mock contempt, a small smile curling the corner of his lips. “i don’t know, my professor, i guess?” at least he doesn’t have the media constantly on his tail, trying to bring his family down.

Was it late? It didn't feel late, but looking over at the clock, it had seemed the time had flown over without him knowing. He'd been spending the evening dealing with the drug money he'd earned, splitting it up into his profit and into his bosses profit. It had been a fairly busy night, old addicts, new customers, a lot of sales. Cocaine and ecstasy seeming to be the biggest sellers of the night, people doing anything for a hit these days, he shakes his head before looking at the male, the wads of cash all bundled up before shrugging. “Working-- gotta get this shit done and over to my boss tomorrow morning,” he grins at the male. He didn’t really care much about sleep anyway, if he wanted to sleep all he had to do was take a few hits from a joint, or a bong. “I’ll sleep in a while, don’t concern yourself about me.”
