You know how on Hell's Paradise, Ju Fa and Tao Fa were chosen to practice Bochu Jutsu. It was the reason they were made a pair, and it was the reason why Rien forcibly made them both adults once they decided it was time for the other tensen to start practicing
And it has just never left my head how beyond fucked up that was
Like, here there's these two kids, who love each other dearly. Then one day their bodies are grown into adults, without their consent, and we don't know for sure if the same happened to their minds. Then they're told that they have to have sex with each other, and again, their consent isn't considered even for a moment. They're just expected to do it and be okay with it, despite it being a dynamic they'd never considered, and they're not given time to consider if they're okay with it. No, one day, just...here's an adult body, now go have sex with the person you probably considered something more like a sibling until now. And I'm not even sure if the same was done to the other tensen. It could well be that they were allowed to grow up normally, and only Ju Fa and Tao Fa were forced to adult up, which would make it even more fucked up
I don't know if I should be applying my human morals and views onto their dynamic, but when I watched this happen in the anime, it just felt violating. It felt like Ju Fa and Tao Fa just forced themselves to cope with this new situation, forced their previous dynamic to adapt into these new expectations, but it still felt like that wasn't enough. Like their madness and eventual mental deterioration happened in part because this, in addition to their immortality, was never something they wanted
Anyway, just...some thoughts I had. I could be way off with my interpretation, but these remain my thoughts, nevertheless
