You guys, Qifrey genuinely scares me so much

His unhealthy obsession and scary stare aside, the way he had the memory erasing spell in his hat. On lock. Ready to use at any time. It instantly makes me wonder just how often he's done to others what he did to Olly. Hell, how many times he's done this very same thing to Olly himself, just because he wanted to be a good friend to Qifrey

It's horrifying also in its hypocrisy, considering Qifrey was the one who condemned memory erasing magic to Coco, told her how it's like destroying a piece of someone. Qifrey is ready, at any time, to destroy a piece of someone. Even if that someone is his best friend

This man angers and scares me so much, but he also makes me so sad. Because his anger and obsession and need for vengeance are so great, that even if it tears him apart inside, he thinks he has to be ready at any time to erase people's memories. Just...jfc what a horrifying and tragic and good character

I could kinda guess it would be, but of course Engris is trapped in side couple purgatory in AO3, and the fics they do get just to themselves are mostly about them being parents to Rudo, or porn, and they're all short. Don't get me wrong, those ones are good too, but I crave a long fic with them as the focus 🥲

I wish I could ship Zanka and Jabber, seeing as they're the most popular mlm ship in the fandom. But unfortunately, I'm a strong believer of "Don't stick your dick in crazy" and Jabber freaks me out too much, it kills any kinda shippy vibe I could have for them T_T

Question for people who've read the light novel and/or manga as well as watched the anime of Reincarnated as a slime

Is the pacing as quick in the light novel/manga as it is in the anime?

'Cos jfc, in the first season things happen so quickly and so suddenly and things even happen off-screen that are then later explained as "Oh yeah he learned that one thing off-screen" and it's really jarring and feels like lazy writing. Does the OG work take its time and is the anime sped up because they had a limited amount of episodes, or is the pacing just that quick?

There's this one light novel/manga/anime called Pass the Monster Meat, Milady that I'm fond of, but there's one thing about it that irritates me

The MC, Melphiera, wants to get strong enough so she can butcher and prepare the monsters she wants to eat on her own. But whenever she asks the people around her to teach her how to be stronger physically (especially the male lead Aristide) they're all like "Oh, that's okay, just ask us for help, we'll do the heavy lifting and you handle the magic stuff and cooking the meat". And that REALLY annoys me, 'cos, why the hell can't they just teach her? Have her do some cardio, teach her to fight with a sword, and make it so she can be more independent and strong in a variety of ways. But nooooo, we gotta have the stwong male lead help and save her every time and she couldn't possibly do the same things he does with the sword because she's just so widdle and weak. Ugh...

I haven't read the whole work, tho, so if someone has and this situation changes and Melphie actually gets to become strong physically as well, hell yeah. I'm so happy. But nevertheless, it annoys me that they're holding her back up to the point where I've gotten

I read manga on this one site, where you can leave ratings ranging from 1 star to 5 stars. I mostly use it to read BL. And I have this one thing that I use to decide if a work gets 5 stars

I judge by how wiggly it gets me

You see, when a couple is extra cute, or healthy, or wholesome, or domestic, it makes me so giddy and happy that I simply can't contain myself. So, I release the feeling by squirming and wiggling and giggling. And the more I wiggle and giggle during the story, the better rating it gets from me
