"So, you're the new recruit." Wesker's voice was cool, but not unwelcoming. "FBI, I hear." Naturally, the Captain of the S.T.A.R.S. had to know who he was dealing with. He looked over the top of his shades. "Captain Wesker." He extended a hand. "But no doubt you've already had your fair share of intel there." He picked his chin back up, his blue eyes hidden behind black once more.

            nothing  quite  like  starting  a  new  job  to  get  the  nerves  going.  especially  when  someone  was  already  made  of  like  99%  anxiety  and  1%  holy  shit  i'm  alive.  so  starting  this  new  job  was  already  terribly  frightening  to  grace,  but  if  she  could  work  at  the  fbi,  she  could  put  her  big  girl  pants  on  and  be  fine  working  as  a  rookie  at  the  raccoon  city  police  station.

she  watched  him  extend  his  hand  blankly  for  a  moment  before  shaking  herself  out  of  it,  quickly  and  firmly  grasping  his  hand  after  wiping  her  own  on  her  pants  -  just  in  case  it  was  sweaty.  she  didn't  want  to  be  rude  and  gross.  that  would  be  a  terrible  first  impression.  but  she  shook  it  quickly  then  dropped  it  and  nodded  her  head.  she  had  done  her  research  before  coming  here.  it  would  be  fool-hardy  of  her  not  to  do  so,  especially  coming  from  the  backgrounds  that  she  did.

“  p-pleasure  to  meet  you,  captain  wesker,  i-i'll  be  under  your  care,”  she  responded  quickly,  trying  not  to  appear  too  nervous,  cursing  her  stutter  silently  in  her  head.

“  past  fbi  is  correct, sir.  grace  ashcroft. a-at your service!”

The first thing Albert noticed was a weak handshake. The second was her stuttering voice. Fantastic. He had another Rebecca Chambers on his hands, although at least Rebecca was an exceptional biochemist. Many of the S.T.A.R.S recruits had been personally picked by Wesker himself. Grace was not one of those. Apparently, however, she was quite good at being an analyst. Considering his own upbringing, Albert knew that most geniuses weren't exactly... people orientated.

Perhaps Grace would surprise him.

Care? A particular word she used, Wesker noted. He put on a smile, as if to ease her obvious nerves. It wasn't every day you got recruited into a specialised task force, after all.

"Yes, I know who you are," he stated, gesturing at their quaint office. "The S.T.A.R.S consist of a relatively small team. Two squads. Alpha and Bravo. You will feel at ease here, Miss Ashcroft. You will join Alpha, meaning you will be directly under my command." Technically speaking, even Enrico was under his command if they were to pull rank, and truly... Umbrella was throwing the punches.

"From my understanding, it was Chief Irons who hired you. I excpect great things from you if that is the case."

do I get asks: This blog is VERY new, lol, and I've not posted a lot of memes yet! Plus I think everyone is shy and awkward :'D, and Wesker is also not the easiest muse to interact with as a villain.

following: Again, very new blog, I think I am following only 11 people atm. But I will follow more when I get more familiar with the community :)

amount of sleep: I aim for 8-9, but... it is what it is.

dream job: My dream "job" will be a hobby. Maintaining an army of birds. I'd actually just love to be a gamer on YT but...

Albert had been in his apartment, after a long shift, damp from his shower. He'd dried his hair as best he could, and flicked the blonde strands from his face. The lights were low, glasses left abandoned by the sink. In the comfort of his own apartment, Wesker was more than happy to remove the shades. A clap here and there, and the lights were perfectly dim or outright off.

He hung the towel and stepped into a loose pair of black pants that he could sleep in when he heard the notification ping from the next room. Beside one of the war books he'd been reading, his phone sat.

Plucking it up with long fingers, Wesker's lips twitched. Chris' physic had always been impressive. The jock type, he thought initially. The man to play sports and enjoy getting shoved around on the field.

Wesker could get behind that. Even he had hobbies outside of his research.

In private, he allowed a smile to move against his usually cool expression. Perhaps it was the lowly dim lights, or at least he'd blame it on, as his pupils dilated just a little at the sight of Chris' muscle over his shoulders. A little lower and he may have even laughed.

"Impressive..." he murmured to himself, as if overlooking a specimen worthy of his attention.

His thumbs hit the buttons on the phone in response.

[ text: ] Haven't had enough of your Captain for a day, Redfield? Am I supposed to be impressed by this?

Annoyingly, Chris' boyish charm may have had an effect on Wesker that he refused to admit.

Between the vigorous typing of reports in the small, dingy office that was the S.T.A.R.S Captain's room, the buzz of Albert's phone broke the monotony of the first few hours. A black coffee had been barely touched, now cold upon a manilla folder that sat at the side of his phone.

Unlike most of the word outside, he had his fingertips at some of the best technology, and with the corruption of Umbrella, it also meant that the S.T.A.R.S. had better tech. Phones that could send images. Perhaps not the best to offer, but it was still useful in investigations on the go. Or, in this case... something else.

Facing back at him, was the very bare and pale skin of Grace Ashcroft staring through the small screen. No doubt this was some sort of error on her part. Still, this surprised the Captain. He had not taken his subordinate--the shy, timid Grace Ashcroft--for one of raunchy taste.

The smallest of creases pressed at the corner of his thin lips. Would he keep this for pleasure? Not entirely. More like blackmail. That was all the pleasure Wesker needed.

Setting his phone down, he clicked on the rather large, bulky phone that sat on his desk, buzzing for Grace's attention.

"Miss Ashcroft. Come to my office, would you." He gave her no time to answer, his finger lifting from the button.

Whilst I lean heavily towards Wesker being homosexual, I do also understand that Jake exists, but my hc for that is DEFINITELY going to be a longer one touching upon my thoughts, and especially Wesker himself in this (there is just no fucking way imo that Wesker... control freak Wesker... doesn't know he has a son out there). Anyway, I will delve into that in a better post when I have the energy, but for now, I do tend to lean towards Albert being male leaning, with a touch of generational and psychological (especially his isolated upbringing) causing some past choices of his...
