Jill Steinhardt, who has taken the name Constantine to honor her distant father, is a teenage mage. although she has a decent amount of natural talent in most magic practice, she is untrained and relatively weak in a fight.

Her fathers alleged death when she was very young left Jill in the care of her mother. although that normalcy was brief as when Jill discovers her mothers mangled body, impossibly burnt, the girl is suddenly thrown into a life haunted by her fathers mistakes and looming danger.

As this blog takes place, Jill has recently escaped from her adoptive parents, and the prep school shes spent her years in. running away to america in search of answers behind who her father was, and what really happened to her mother.
