rosetta has no idea how she actually ended up in this position. she had seen jim during her night out alone, they were talking, and now they were in the corner of the club looking at each other with heavy eyes. she should back out. this was a bad idea. her heart hardly recovered from the last time she was wooed by this boy and yet....she couldn't look away from him. curse her selfish heart! it was always getting her into trouble. then again, when was the last time she did anything out of line? anything rebellious? crazy? she couldn't even remember. all she knew was that the music sounded so far away where they stood and that she wasn't sure if that was good or not. "james...." she whispered, looking directly into his eyes still. "what are we doin'?"

Gabriella was mortified. She couldn’t even blame alcohol for the slip of words she just used. One minute they were joking and being themselves and the next she was saying stuff like that. She knew that her heart had a habit of betraying her at the worst moments but his confusion just showed that all she did was maybe mess something up she should not have tried to mess up. A large part of her was tired of dancing around her feelings and not going for something she thought could be great. Another part of her wanted to shove all of that deep, deep, down and stay single and just never ever take a shot because the last time she took a shot, she missed harder than she could handle.
Normally, she kept a pretty clear head and her words weren’t such a jumble mess of apologies and blushes, but now that she had said what she said she could not reach the control panel in her head that helped her sound composed. “Everything is so fine!” she blurted out, louder than she had intended. Good job, brain. Filled with so much academic value and for what? “We can totally pretend I never said anything. It was just a very odd slip of the tongue! Nothing that needs to be dwelled on. Um. Yeah. I don’t...I don’t really know what that was. Sorry? Again. Um. What were we talking about again before that?”
"How the hell did we lose sight of us again?" - Jim
“One of us must really need glasses,” Alice mumbled, looking down at her feet before looking up at him again. “I have not done anything but be myself. I’m not the one who chose to run away at the sight of what that entails.” She wasn’t going to hold onto this, but she was not going to be the one who faulted herself for something she did not feel she did. “You are the one who acts like I speak in riddles when my English is quite clear. At the end of the day, you chose to run because you did not like that I did something to keep you safe. So, I don’t really need to hear all of these things that confuse me and make me think you honestly want to be around me when you don’t. I like a good puzzle, but this is not a very good puzzle.” @starboyjim

Poppy was getting better at rollerskating. She was surprised with how much easier it was to get to places on her skates and honestly ever since she put the time in to really learn, it came about as easy as figure skating did. She was an athletic girl by nature, but her heart belonged music and all things bright and happy first. Sports could result in some ugly results sometimes, so aside from cheer she tended to steer clear because she was a really competitive person and that resulted in her getting as ugly as ever. She didn’t want to be ugly; she liked being cute and small and easy to talk to. Ruining that because she started cursing out an opposing team just was not the vibe.
She was just trying to get used to following her jogging route on skates in case she wanted to shake ehr routine up when she spotted him. He was so cute and so like oblivious to it that Poppy had immediatley stopped paying attention to where she was going and almost fell over a few times. That was all fine and dandy until she started going again and did end up bumping into said cute guy who went from being a nice distance to literally right in front of her. “Ohmygosh! I am so sorry! These skates have a mind of their own sometimes!” She reached out to help him up. “Did I break you? I’m fairly solid despite being so soft looking. Oop! I really hope you don’t have a concussion or something!”
