Things New Zealanders (Kiwis) say. (And people from other countries probably say as well idk) Chur- you can literally use it anywhere it means thanks or hi or yeah or just whatever you can say it whenever you want Sweet as- It's pretty obvious it basically mean cool and good ya know Yeah nah- yo doesn't everyone say this? It means no btw but we usually say it jokingly/while smiling or laughing Bro- everyone knows what this means and everywhere you go you're gonna hear someone calling someone bro, male or female, doesn't matter. You can say it to anyone. Say it to a stranger, say it to the bus driver, say it to person in the dairy, chances are they'll say it back. Cuzzie/cuz- literally bro Eh- ok so this either goes at the end of a sentence you aren't sure about like 'Oh she's turning 20, eh?' Or when you're agreeing with something Or when you dont care tbh Mate- again literally bro or friend The wop-wops- the middle of nowhere Munted- broken beyond repair, like well and truly stuffed Bach- it's our nice holiday homes wtf does everyone else call them She'll be right- isn't this a common saying? It just means it'll be alright but usually talking about when something might be broken and they're trying to fix it like a tractor Jandals: they're flip flops or whatever the fuck every other country calls them and everyone wears them Maccas- McDonald's! Seriously what do you guys call it?! Scull it- chug it, drink it all at once ya know. Chocka block- crowded, full, busy etc Kia Ora- it's Maori and its basically a greeting like hello All good- seriously tell me other people say this it means everything is fine Far out- apparently other countries don't say this anymore As- add as into anything as an exaggeration. Cheap as means really cheap. Rude as means really fucking rude. Not even- come on people. It means no way or not true. Shot- basically means thank or cool or whatever it's like chur just say it whenever. Now ive gotten to the point where I feel like I'm being patronising and everyone knows anyway so this last one isn't a word, it's an action. The Eyebrows... - do you guys not do the eyebrows? You walk down the street, are someone you know and do The Eyebrows. In the middle of a convo or just don't want to speak, but want to make sure someone knows you saw them? Do The Eyebrows. Instead of greeting them verbally? The Eyebrows. Or just go watch Jimi Jackson on YouTube hes basically new zealand in a person lmao
