Hello, everyone and happy Jimlingss anniversary! Woohoo! It has been three years since my official retirement and eight years since I’ve began this blog. That’s absolutely crazy since it all feels like yesterday. Time flies when you’re having fun.
First and foremost, thank you to all who still send me messages and give me feedback on my stories! I do check back once in a while and read everything, so nothing goes unnoticed. Your kind words always make me miss the simpler days of writing. :’) It really gets me nostalgic.
Second, here is my yearly update!
I’ve finished my second year of law school! I finished off this year with a bang and did quite well, if I do say so myself. There’s one more year left to go and that’s insane since I remember the first day so vividly. I’m a bit sad for it to be all over — I never thought I’d ever feel this way. But I’ve made so many friends and created so many memories. When it’s all over, everyone will be going their own path. Luckily, I’m sure we’ll remain connected and be close friends no matter what.
I don’t think I’ve had such a positive experience quite like this in all my years of schooling. I’ve always been the type to just scurry on home, never liked what I was studying, and never had too many friends. So this change has been unexpected yet very welcome.
In terms of career, I’ve been working this summer and I have something lined up for when I’m finished school! So soon I’ll be racking in the dough, wooooooo!! Let’s get it!
My family is also doing well — and I feel very fortunate for that.
Third, and most important, I am happy to announce that I have a boy I absolutely adore! We’ve officially been dating for four months? That seems so short on paper, but we’ve known each other for close to two years! I’m living out one of my friends to lovers fics, I swear (lol).
He’s been a close friend since the start of law school and somewhere along the line I gradually caught feelings (of course I did lmao). I was sure rejection was on the horizon and I wanted to preserve our dear friendship, so I was trying to get over it for months by myself. This included online dating and going on a string of dates (hahaha). I ended up cracking and calling him on the phone one night, but then aborted mission. Thanks to the advice of a friend, I stopped avoiding him and being an embarrassment, and I finally confronted him. He said we should give it a shot, and here we are!
He has brown, curly hair that reminds me of a poodle. And he made me realize why love is so loved — why it’s so revered — talked about — imprinted in each other’s minds. Everywhere. I’ve written countless love stories but never truly experienced the feeling before, and yet, he’s made the heart of my stories come to life. He’s let me live them in real time.
I really hope it works out! LOL
Anyway, I’m always happy to do these updates and for all those who may be just a bit curious enough about me to check in. Although this is a very positive update (and I hope it continues to be), my life isn’t without its ups and downs either. It just seems to be in a general upwards trajectory.
Thank you to everyone who still remembers me, and who may still read my stories! I definitely haven’t forgotten about you all, so I hope you haven’t forgotten me either.
There's this ot7 fanfiction that I can't for the life of me remember. Y/n and the boys are all locked in this institution, they all have superpowers. The superpowers were caused by some explosion (maybe nuclear) y/n was on the beach with a sibling when the explosion happened. They all have different powers. I don't think there was really a whole lot of romance, but maybe a little? Sorry if this is super broad!

Kina has often been one of the authors that I’ve recommended a lot of stories to many people over time. And that’s because she’s one of the most consistent writers I’ve ever seen. As far as I’m aware, all her slice of life AUs were prewritten way in advance and then simply released week by week which...I can’t relate at all. So that on its own is impressive.
Not only that, but she also puts out SO MANY stories. It’s like there’s a story every week and they’re always of such ridiculously high quality. There’s so many different AUs, from soulmate to slice of life to fantasy and every single one has been written so well. It’s not often that I can remember exactly where I was when reading a particular fic, but I can do with Kina’s fics often!
Each story is so well written with a backstory that seems effortless yet fills the world in behind the characters, subtle colouring done with tidbits of information that let you build up worlds. And then the characters themselves are so unbelievably charming and sweet, luring you into their lives until you realise that you’ve fallen in love with them.
I honestly adore Kina’s fics and will forever enjoy reading them for as long as she continues to write, which I hope will be a while because a talent like this deserves to be read and praised!

Jungle Park - Hoseok x Reader
Okay, so this remains one of my favooooourite fics from Kina! I love how grumpy Hoseok is at the beginning of this fic and the evolution of his character throughout the series. The law firm runs like a smooth operation despite their issues and the MC fits in so well, becoming the perfect cog between Jimin and Hoseok and the rest of the office.
I love Jimin’s mischief and how he blatantly does things to annoy Hoseok because he knows that Hoseok isn’t going to retaliate. To put it simply...Hoseok is pretty whipped for his best friend and I enjoy their banter between them both.
And Hoseok himself is such a delight. He’s all grumpy and moody but you can see the heart of gold beneath, I’m happy when the resdt of the office begins to let him show his own personality because he really is nice underneath it all. And it’s lovely to know that they get to see that.
But then you have the whole mysterious connection between Hoseok and the MC. The amnesia that means he can’t remember her and their story is so heart breaking. The MC is truly brave to carry on like she does with Hoseok! They’re obviously one of those ‘fated’ to be couples though because it’s sweet how he fell in love with her all over again, even though he doesn’t know their history. And I’m glad the MC gave him the chance to! Because as harsh as it is to say...he can’t really be blamed for what he did not because...well he doesn’t remember!
The Devil’s Own Luck - Jimin x Reader
I still love this story as well. Their relationship as they’ve both grown up together, one humand and one demon is so sweet. It’s lovely to see her embracing him and him embracing her too, even if no one can see him at first and everyone just thinksh he’s an imaginary friend.
It’s sweet that’s being a brat when younger because...well he is a demon. And basically a baby demon at that really. So seeing him being so childish is cute, even if it’s annoying and upsetting the MC but I guess we can’t really be too annoyed...like I said...he’s a demon lol
He’s adorable though when he grows and evidently doesn’t understand his feelings. His petulance when she’s in college is cute, pushing away her friends so that he can sleep next to her and stuff. Their argument later is sad but I’m also glad that he learnt more skills. It must be frustrating knowing that you love someone and that you’re being the reason for their misfortune, even if that IS your nature.
AND THEN THE ENDING IS SO SWEET oh my god ;-; it’s just such a lovely story to read, honestly.
BOO-lieve In Me -Yoongi x Reader
This is one of those fics that definitely feels like a k-drama come to life haha. In fact, there probably is a drama that’s similar to this, and that’s why this fic is so fun to read! Yoongi is so damn grumpy and so is the MC, which is hilarious.
It was so sweet and sad how much the MC cared and worried over Jungkook. I can imagine that must be hard if you ended up stuck hanging around in the afterlife, seeing someone you love struggle so hard with the grief of your loss.
Their character development for each other was lovely to read and it gives you a little bit of hope that even if you don’t get it in this life, you can get in the afterlife. It felt very fulfilling to read and the story was so unique and wonderful.
You’ve Got A Dog In Me - Jungkook x Reader
Okay but like...this fic is hilarious. You can genuinely feel the anger of the MC that Jungkook has set up shop next to her and that he’s getting more business and traffic than her. It’s such a riduculously unique set up and I swear, Kina is the MASTER of unusual plots. But it flows so smoothly as well.
The MC’s annoyance at it all going wrong for her and all going right for Jungkook. How she feels that Jungkook is trying to sabotage her when really...he admires her so much and it’s obvious he’s going a bit starry eyed for her lol
And oh god, the ending is so adorably sweet. How they both came together and ended up building a little restaurant empire while being so beautifully in love. URGH, THIS FIC IS WORTH READING. JUST DO IT!
Head Over Heels to Hell - Hoseok x Reader
The antagonism between the MC and Hoseok in this is so palpable, like you can literally feel the anger she has towards him in the modern day. Reading through their story together as it goes through the centuries is heart breaking every time Hoseok fails her. It’s understandable why she’s so...viscerally angry with him.
But then he explains himself at the end and I feel sorry for him too. It was like for centuries...things kept happening to keep them apart. Almost like it wasn’t really their time to be together. So hopefully, this WILL be their time together and they will get to live happily for once. Because so many lives have failed and they deserve something so much better than what they’d already had. It’s a heart breaking story on both their parts but I love the ending that it comes to!
I mean...he was still an arse in all of the past lives really but I have hope that he’ll redeem himself in this one at least.

Void is absolutely AMAZING and when I thought it couldn’t get better it did. I love the angles you took on it, the insecurity of Y/N and how at times she feels like she’s being used. Yoongi is an ass but a hot one and wholly hilarious 👌 especially when he refused to leave the kitchen. But what takes the cake is the ape presentation. I love the approach. The execution. The pitch.
