A new Direction! Jimmy how did these go when you moved in with Belle?
It's an adjustment, that's for damn sure. Belle's nice and all, but she has rules. I'm not a fucking kid, am I? I don't need rules. But . . . she's being really really nice letting me stay here. Her house her rules, I can accept that. She's teaching me to cook, actually. It's nice.
And it's uh, nice, having someone around again. Living alone is great, really. But it can get lonely.
BELLE AND IRRESPONSIBLE-AS-FUCK JIMMY MEET A BEAR
(Aaaaaaaand I have a new idea for Jimmy fic. And it has absolutely nothing to do with a bear and everything to do with how childish Jimmy is and asdfghjkl, this is going to be interesting . . . .)
Belle turned away from watching a mama wolf get pounced on by her cubs to look for Jimmy in the crowd since he had disappeared from her side. When she recognized his black leather jacket, her heart leaped in her chest. He was leaning much too far over the railing at the top of the grizzly bear enclosure and she was about to yank him back, as if he was a misbehaving child, when he turned around and smiled at her, his shaggy hair flying into his face with the wind.
"Look, Belle, there's a couple of them just down here." He pointed directly down the sheer face of stone that kept the bears away from the visitors, and sure enough there were a couple of bears lounging around at the base of the wall.
He looked so completely joyful about it and her heart stuttered for another reason entirely. Sometimes he acted like a petulant child, and it was a lot of work getting him to act like the adult he was most of the time, but seeing this childlike wonder in him was something Belle would never tire of.
