he has terrible posture… he’s just like me fr <3
resident evil 2/3 fancasts (realistic)
i do believe that ada is wasian/not fully chinese, but how do we feel about havana as ada? i think she almost looks too innocent but maybe that could be used to her advantage as a spy.
and i think louis hofmann is a very solid choice for leon, but he’s only 5’7 and kind of close to aging out of being able to play a young leon, although both actors are very similar in age so maybe just age up the characters?
i’ve seen other people fancast cailee spaeny as claire and i really like that as well, but mackenzie was the first person i thought of for live action college claire.
i also thought maybe edi gathedi could be marvin but then this would just be a twilight reunion 😭
eurasian jill supremacy!! i couldn’t find a french-japanese actress that resembled jill, but mylène is french-chinese and has that badass look that jill encapsulates.
i had a hard time finding someone for carlos. he’s tricky because he’s got a portuguese last name, speaks spanish, and is apparently south american but also native american? i landed on martin because he’s indigenous and resembles carlos, but maybe a brazillian/latin actor would be a better fit?
also both characters would have to be aged up due to the actors’ ages (40s)
both of these fancasts are not my own idea. i had no clue who could play either of them, but these two look familiar to the source material.
also have no casting for who could realistically play a young sherry birkin because i don’t know child actors, nor am i in any rush to watch movies/shows with kids in them 🫤
bonus! i just put two and two together and cannot un see dolph in mr. x now 😀 the similarities are uncanny
if anyone has any substitutes for these characters, or fancasts for other characters, please comment/put it in my asks! (focussing on realistic casting for a live-action tv show/movie)
sincerely, melancholy
Hey!!!
The first #DeadCity Season 3 reviews have dropped, and they're really positive so far!
Here are the first three reviews:
https://www.cbr.com/the-walking-dead-dead-city-season-3-review/
https://undeadwalking.com/the-walking-dead-dead-city-season-3-review
https://comicbookclublive.com/2026/07/22/the-walking-dead-dead-city-season-3-review-new-showrunner-injects-new-life-amc-series/
The reviews especially praise Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan's on-screen chemistry, as well as the flirtatious dynamic between Maggie and Negan.
CBR even says:
"They work together because they have skills the other does not, which on its own is growth, but that doesn't rationalize the flirtatious undercurrent between them. For any woman watching this show: Don't get the wrong idea that you have to play nice with your abuser to heal yourself."
HOLY SHIT. Reviewers are literally mad because Maggie and Negan's sexual tension is apparently too strong. 😂
The new addition of Jimmi Simpson as Dilliar is also getting a lot of praise. Reviewers describe him as electric, and pairing him with Jeffrey Dean Morgan seems to be one of the season's biggest strengths.
There's also Luis (Raúl Castillo), a handsome doctor who might help Maggie move past another part of her emotional baggage. He seems like a genuinely good guy and is clearly important to Maggie. However, CBR also mentions "certain characters removing their masks" and compares it to Daenerys Targaryen's heel turn, which makes me wonder if Luis could end up being one of those characters.
Renata and Maggie also seem to make a great duo, and it's nice to see Maggie finally building a friendship with another woman.
As more reviews are released, I'll keep posting them here.
Season 3 is shaping up to be incredibly exciting!
