Imagine fighting at Dunkirk and seeing a flying fish man and a guy on fire flirting with each other before they go to kill them some Nazis. I'd be pissed.

should my people fall, surely i'll do the same.
The world was a vast, vast place. Sometimes, it seemed as though it stretched on forever. That was nothing more than a fanciful idea, though. The world did have a beginning and an end, a north and a south, an east and a west. One did eventually run out of land upon the Earth. At some point, there was nowhere else to go.
It was, Namor thought, a pitiful way to live. The surface world was so limited. The people who lived upon it were trapped. There was still, he supposed, the heavens above. One day, though, the humans would find a way to ravage space as well. Namor knew that for a certainty.
“Did you know,” he began when he heard soft footsteps coming towards him, “that this is one of my favourite places in the world to be alone?”
“Well.” Jim Hammond sat down beside him. The sea breeze played with his blond hair, like a child running their hands through it. Gazing at Namor from the corner of his eye, Jim said, “You shouldn’t have shown it to me, then. If you wanted to be alone.”
