( → ) A drumming echoed within his mind, the sound reverberating within his skull to the point of irritation showing clearly on his features. His brows pulled together and he glanced down, seeing that his own hands had been the source of the annoying rhythm. The tips of his fingers slid down until his hand laid flat over the plain white envelope that had barely dulled the previous tapping against the long glass table. Inside the seemingly unimportant folder was a disk. On that disk was a configuration file holding the identity of who had sent a hack the previous night; one that had crippled the security system of AllSafe, the company he worked for. Being charged with the safety of so many major corporations, there was a significant amount of pressure on his boss to keep their clients up to date, and reassured, on their situation. So why was Jaewon the one with the envelope instead of the well dressed man sitting across from him? Because he was the one who had not only stopped the hack, but removed the rootkit that caused it all. That was what he had told everyone, at least. There were a few important details he had kept from his boss, and planned to keep them under wraps during this meeting with the head CTO of the victim company. One: he didn’t remove the rootkit. Two: the IP addresses listed on the file he held, he changed it to the terminal of the very man coming in to ask for answers. To have the CTO questioned by the entire company, as well as the authorities, was a perfect way to instill some chaos in their perfect little worlds. It was finally time. He watched as their clients filed in, and his stomach collapsed in on itself. Being so close to following through with the plan he and his hacker group fsociety had been dying to set into motion, it was exhilarating. Jaewon stretched his fingers out, the palms of his hands sweating, but planted on the glass table. His eyes flickered from each face as they entered, recognizing them all -- all except for one. A woman, someone he had not only never seen before, but never “researched”, was the last to enter. The skin beneath his eyes rose as he squinted involuntarily. Who was she? There was no way they’d allow a new employee in on a meeting this important. She couldn’t have been press either, as word getting out about a hack this large would cause more harm than good for everyone in the room. So what was going on?
(sends this in for fun even though we already have a thread) “go and fuck a dick.”
“is that supposed to be insulting? because i can assure you, it really isn’t.” a smile appears on her lips before winking at the girl, knowing that she had pissed her off. “what? are you mad that a kid like me won in the game? face it, i was going easy on you. you’ll probably get even more pissed if we keep playing, you rage quit three times already. just give up, you’re not going to beat me.” she holds the gamecube controller in her hands, fiddling around with the buttons before throwing it on a nearby beanbag. leaning back, she rests her elbows on the sofa and throws her head back. “plus, fucking a dick sounds really good right now. so, sorry if your goal was to offend me because i’m not at all offended.”
Thanks for having me here, but I've gotten so behind with everything and everyone that I think I should best take my leave from the building. It was nice being here whenever I could though!
Please be safe and continue to be well.
"Fuck the sandwich guy!"
“no- don’t actually-” hyejung smushes her cheeks together, shaking her head. just the thought of it made her spine shiver, she couldn’t imagine it. “i mean- hopefully you didn’t mean it in that way. although.. i mean.. if you look at him..” her voice got smaller and smaller as it reaches her confession. “i would have.. anyways. yeah, uh. don’t do that. maybe you meant because he fucked up your order. just beat him up or something. or don’t. that’s a crime, you can’t beat up strangers. uh!” hyejung was suddenly in a rush for words, rubbing the back of her neck. nervousness played a part in her life right now, wanting the feeling to go away.
