in between writing little sequences of jin getting his ass beat, or spitting blood before running back into a fight, or sucking a hissed breath between his teeth as he sinks into the steamy waters of a hot spring,

in between all of that im playing with this idea of taka being in love with jin, and nobody really believing it's real love, not his sister, not kenji, not even jin sometimes, bc its hero-worship, thats all it is, he watches him with too much awe, preaches the legend of the ghost a little too strongly, he can't see that he's real, he's a flesh and blood man not a myth,

and taka who has never really lived his own life before, always following yuna, being protected by her (or her attempts to do so) insisting that he does, he does love him like he's real, why do you think he made him armor? does a legend need to be protected? does a god need armor? no. but a man does. a man will bleed and a man can die and if he dies, taka's heart will die with him. if the only thing he can choose for himself is to try and protect This Man, that is what he will do.
