"Look, I'm TELLIN' YOU BOYS, this is LITERALLY a golden opportunity, not just for you two, but for me!" Boomed the massive four-armed swordsman in an excitedly goofy tone as he held up some sort of form, pointing at it eagerly to the fellow Bisharp.
"Yeah yeah Tats, we get it, ya wouldn't stop tossin' around in your Swablu covers mumblin' over how excited ya were, when ya DID go to sleep," the white and purple Bisharp remarked in a nonchalant teasing fashion with a roll of his eyes.
"WELL IT IS! I figured YOU'D be 'scited about this too, Jirou! And those were ALTARIA sheets, thank ya very much! Never travel without top grade sky blue fluffy comfort!" the Machamp-esque Bisharp corrected with a superior tone, followed by a cartoonish 'harumph.' "Ren, back me up here!"
The smaller red Bisharp with the unique armor and facial covering merely shook his head at the nonsense, silent, as the bulkier man continued.
"With this lovely li'l sheet o’ paper, we can finally gather samples of ore for the mountain village! Then we can set up business like the honest hard-workin' men that I know we're gonna be! It's gonna be KILLER, boys! A new lease on life! Just what we always wanted! Lady Luck'll smile on us yet!"
"Yeah yeah, count me in! I can't wait! I've only been waiting for this for about as long as you have!," snickered Jirou, with a somewhat lazy tone before folding his arms behind his head. "We go on in, punch and carve out some dusty glimmery pieces of rock, then come back and get a thumbs up in the form of a stamp, then we can sweat and break our backs over more metal, heat and sparks. What a life."
"Ya just don't know how cool AND rewardin' steelsmithin' can be, Jirou! We're literally cut out for this! Maybe that scar on yer eye's what's not lettin' ya see the big picture!" At this, Tatsuo spread his arms out as his imagination and enthusiasm took over. "Don'tcha know how hard it is to come across swordsmiths nowadays? Warriors the world over lookin' for new blades, new weapons, new TALENT, and I, DRAGON-MAN TATSUO, am gonna give it to 'em!"
"Oh brother," Jirou rolled his eyes, "Think ya can gimme some of your pep? I think I left it back at our inn room when ya shook it out of me at 5 am, Tats. Or when we fended off the peeved Dragon types that lived here," retorted Jirou with a sassy snort. Just then, Renshu tapped Jirou's arm and held up his chalkboard to him, relaying the message.
["... yet he must be careful how high he searches lest he loses his vision; the greater the fall, the deeper his legend will be engraved with the bruises of regret."]
"SNRK! Chill Renshu, that's worse than me."
"Har har, VERY FUNNY, but I'll show ya two yet! I can picture it now..." From there, Tatsuo began to daydream once more, envisioning himself being surrounded by approving company in the form of satisfied customers.
"Wow Tatsy, these daggers are choice! Ya really know your way around a hammer and furnace!" "AAAAHHHH, I never knew I'd miss long-range fighting before gaining this naginata, this is PERFECT FOR ME!" "When you fold the blade just right and cleave that Watmel berry in two... Mmh, mmh."
"Ooh yeah, that's what they'll be saying," Tatsuo dreamily remarked after putting on those ridiculous fake voices of self-flattery, "My soon-to-be-career will grant me all sorts of recognition! Praise, smiles, money, the whole shebang!" He laughed heartily. "They're gonna be like, 'Mmh, you see that? You see that DragonMan Tatsuo? He knows his stuff. I totally want to study under him, and maybe, just maybe, be besties...!'" Tatsuo merely sighed as he brushed an eye with a sniffle. "I'll finally know what bein' appreciated for my work is like...!"
His compatriots had their own responses to this... dreamland, that Tatsuo voiced aloud. While Jirou wore a jittering grin that was blended with both amusement and a sense of embarrassment for Tatsuo, Renshu held his chin in thought, feeling both intrigued by the Bichamp's enthusiasm but also feeling a sense of pity for the larger man.
"Yeeeeeah... keep dreamin' bud, you keep dreamin' there," that was all Jirou had to say, he looked like he wanted to laugh, but at the same time even he knew that wouldn't quite be right.
["Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare... All souls of action are dreamers, and Tatsuo is certainly not without both vision and action..."] is what Renshu wrote on his board to present to Jirou, trying to get him to understand. It was right at that moment that the two smaller Bisharp men were immediately pulled into Tatsuo's chest. Struggling to breathe from the suddenness AND tightness of the grip, they could only flail and struggle to keep their footing as the larger man proceeded to double-point towards their destination.
"Enough tomfoolery, ya bums! With muscles like mine and blades like yours, who needs proper tools? Dreams start here, and our destination? The crowned mountain!"
