As if she wasn’t already nervous, it didn’t help that her short Tokyo-to-Seoulflight would be delayed by two hours. She would’ve preferred getting seated now, sleeping through the experience in hopes of minimal turbulence and a quick, easy flight. Anything to get this over with. Nude lips moulded around a single straw, the writer growing nauseous at her non-sugary drink which nestled rough in the pit of her stomach. Eyes glazing over in thought, she watched as the terminal darkened in to an abyss and she found herself catching sleep; dreams burgeoned in apprehension.
Like any short slumber, she awoke to what seemed like minutes in an actual hour of dormancy. It was a beautiful trance; eyes glowing in satisfaction as she managed a hazy smile. There were enigmas, though, like how the world was now crooked or that she slept at a perfectly tilt angle — who had kept her upright like this? Nuzzling against a shoulder, she realised the embarrassing mistake of having dozed off on someone else, Jisoo shuffling in her seat as she modelled an explanation.
❝Sumimasen!❞ she announced wholeheartedly. Assuming he was a Japanese and she hadn’t missed her flight. How incredibly unfortunate if she did sleep through the announcement, but what could be worse than randomly sleeping on a stranger? ❝I was so dizzy. I didn’t realise you were there and I’m terrible at sleeping still, so… W-Wait a minute— why didn’t you wake me?❞ English. She was incredibly rusty with the language but through her unearthly gifts, came the ability to at least communicate unaccented. ( —Thank you, Zeus. )
"Damn it!" Woobin hisses underneath his breath after he walks a long way down (feels like a twelve miles, he should know since that was always his punishment on the baseball team each time he messed something up) from the gate to the airline office— only to find out that the flight back to Seoul is delayed by a couple of hours, possibly for even a day. Operation had been a little rocky from the start and the male had kind of expected it— visitors were all going home from their holidays and work and school was fast approaching. What he wasn't expecting though was the sudden snow storm to hit the country in the middle of a business meeting with the corporate of Lotte Japan, what more, during a meeting to which he wasn't even supposed to attend.
He refrains himself from slamming his fists against the counter in frustration and goes to sit himself instead. There was a female sitting next to him but she had been a little too cooped up in her slumber to notice him occupy the only vacant seat left, probably the people sitting with them waiting for their new tickets for the next available trip. Over the passing minutes the female besides him slowly falls over until her head is resting against the crook of his shoulders and no matter how many times Woobin shoved it back to place it fell back each time.
After a long battle he finally quits and it isn't until she wakes up that he's able to crack his neck. She spoke in Japanese initially until in broken English, his eyes wandering over to the tag written on her bag tag. Kim Jisoo. She was Korean. "You were drooling and I didn't want to wake you up." He replies in Korean, lips curling into a small smile. "Besides, I don't think it would have been polite for me to do so. Afterall, everyone is sleeping until we hear the official details of the flight at who knows when."
