something about jj jacobs makes me so emotional.

just looking at the part he plays in the story as an npc, if brennan had planned from the start that there would be gramarcy wizards in the fight with tony, i think it’s safe to say that jj was supposed to be one of them. i think jj was designed to be a sweet good guy that they all wanted to protect (like they did in the first fight) but he was meant to get lost. he was overwhelmed by being new to magic, alone in a new city, and years of his research had been stolen and manipulated.

i think he was written to get lead astray by tony and hurt the champions when he was revealed in the fight after the invisibility was dispelled.

except that didn’t happened

because zac remembered that brennan said jj was native and it was thanksgiving, so he did the most ricky thing he could do and sent his pc to check on him, so he wouldn’t be alone on a hard day.

zac/ricky’s compassion saved a character brennan designed to be tragic and alone

and it kinda makes me wants to cry
