So based on your last ask, do you think they Hisoka’s transmuter analysis was spot on? As in transmuters can obsess over something and make it a treasure only to discard it like it doesn’t matter later? As much as I try to hold onto the hope that Killua still cares just as much as he did before, I see a lot of analyses that imply he kinda swapped Gon for alluka which seems out of character to me but idk.
Heya!
I don’t think so? This is not what I meant with my last ask, i’m sorry if i misworded.
Killua’s actions and behaviors don’t mean he stopped caring for Gon though. Being able to healthily moderate how you spend time with someone is not the same thing as suddenly not caring.
In the hxh Mythos, it’s implied that someone can change their Nen type after huge lifechanging events. In a way, yes, we can take Hisoka’s analysis, but Hisoka remains biased and it’s still to argue how right he can be (especially in comparaison to others users). And it’s a result of how a person influence their Nen instead of a Nen influencing a person.
in the case of Killua it’s important to consider he never had anything to care about to begin with - his emotions were suppressed, he was isolated, and he was suppressed from the affection he had for his sister. Killua lived in that negative extreme all his life - and he lived fully with Gon, all at once.
This is what can bring this All-or-nothing attitude with Killua, which is also emplified by the needle which stops him completely at minor incidents (going to the extreme of Not Doing Something, leading him to the extreme of Hurting Himself to Do Something). Since he had no way to involve himself in emotions before, he gave his everything when he finally got something. Which lead him from one extreme to the next, and imo, his storyline gains more weight if he allows himself to ballance it out - which I think is where he’s aheaded, not living in extreme, butknowing his limits.
It’s not an easy answer, especially regarding to Gon, because we don’t know. We didn’t ever see Killua in this situation and this is only speculation. We know he’s dedicating himself to Alluka, but it doesn’t mean that Gon doesn’t matter, it means Alluka’s situation was more urgent and dangerous than Gon’s.
I often mentioned before, Killua is someone who lives in the present. He despited to have his future being planned for him, and his past had weighted him down. He isn’t planning a few steps ahead, he takes a situation right in front of him, and calculate what he should do to deal with it. Alluka’s situation was too dire to be ignored, while Gon’s current situation was fine (he’s healthy, he’s safe, he’s back to his family ect. even if he has still issues, it’s not like Alluka who is being hunted down by Illumi who wants to manipulate her). So Killua just priviligize that.
It doesn’t mean he stopped caring for Gon, or that he is neglecting him all together. I don’t think it’s a “all or nothing” situation. Killua is trying to find the best way to deal with a situation, and I don’t think it’s about Gon - not now, it’s about Killua figuring out what to do with the situations proposed to him.
I think saying he just “swapped” them is unfair for Killua, Gon and Alluka, and all their dynamics. It’s neglecting how guilty Killua felt both for Gon and Alluka in the CE arc, and how conflicted he was about what he had to do. Killua goes this far because he cares, and it’s unfair that him parting from Gon would mean he doesn’t care, since it’s a question of context, of why he’s leaving.
idk. To me I don’t think Killua ever gave this sort of vibes so I don’t see it.
I hope this answer is satisfying tho dkjfhdkf
Take care!
