Ignoring that this takes away a lot of what makes these villains interesting, the fact that most of these characters are scientists and with science people often look to the animal kingdom for inspiration

My favorite animals are the Shocker, Looter, Goblin, Burglar, (Ok his full name was Cat Burglar I will give you that) Tombstone, Electricity, the Mafia, The Mafia but metal, Vore Goo, Just a straight up Ghost, A supercomputer that murdered its creator, Sand, Water, Mud, a Poacher, Just a really strong guy, Lava, Cyberspace and of course himself
