About last night’s episode...

 I feel like we were going in for a high-five, but got slapped in the face instead...

I wonder if Jan Nash etc. rely on Sam Lembeck's memory of seasons past, rather than consulting/maintaining a show bible.

To be honest, I think they don't really care about previous seasons. Watching the show now, I believe Nash watched couple of episodes to have an idea what the show is about, what stands out the most. And then she built a very basic skeleton which she's been covering with her new facts. Unfortunately those are more often than not contradictory to the previous seasons. She tweeted very early after taking over something like 'So you're saying that if I end it with a hug, then it doesn't matter what happened between?'. So here you have it.

I don't think there's ever been a show bible but what Nash is running right now is a completely new show with the same faces.  There is probably a lot happening behind the scenes, invisible to us, that influences the final product but I honestly don't care about it. I'm here to consume the product and the product became inedible.

Next thing you know, Frankie has a girlfriend! 😒 When doesn’t JNash listen to Angie. This is getting tiring… Sasha should get more screen time. Rizzoli and Isles is now just Rizzoli. Even Tina said it in an interview!

 Reading that TVGuide interview and JNash didn’t actually say anything about Rizzles not happening, this is her quote: 

"I will say that we are grateful to have such a devoted audience," she says. "There are so many shows that don't make it out of their first seasons and many of those that do don't make it out of their second seasons. There are very few shows that get to 92 episodes, which is where we'll be after this season. That only happens if you have a devoted, loyal fan base that cares about the characters and the work the actors are doing. We're grateful for that. The people who see the show a certain way and want it to be that, we're grateful that they love the show as much as they do... and that's really all I'm gonna say about it."

To sum 5x15 up

Invasion of privacy is OK. As is guilt tripping Maura for spending HER own money. Nice example of emotional abuse that went unpunished because it came from a close (almost) family member. What the actual fuck?

Guns on a crime show became fashion accessories and are treated as such (including the way Maura held her gun; Russ Grant anyone?)

Second episode in a row, Frankie is drooling over a woman. Always a different one. I'm relieved that at least he liked Maura for a long time.

SWAT team is only there so that Jane's blue shirt can stand out in all the black heavy geared masse swirling BEHIND her. (Russ Grant...? never mind)

It's OK not to follow basic rules at shooting range because obviously Russ Grant said so.

Where is Jack? Why Maura doesn't talk to him about her problems? Oh, I forgot that writers forgot he's in Maura's life (maybe he's in Jane's apartment).

Tommy took TJ, Lydia, Rondo, Bass and Jo Friday with him to live in Jane's apartment. That's why it's so difficult to shoot in there now and we don't see any of them.

Geez, this is such a clusterfuck that we could keep going forever...

Angela, you nosy abusive woman, do you know why Maura has her study closet full of stuff? Because you stole her screentime and that's her way of dealing with emotional abuse and writers neglect!
