someone asked me to submit this #imagine writing the worst tropey caricature of a disorder #but then being smart at how terrible portrayal you made so you set up an arc for them to grow and heal from trauma #only to write them off the story and the only arc they are in is actually focused on two other characters more #and then they get a novel but are only further mischaracterized in it and gaslighted to believe they are in the wrong when they arent
