Jo Passed - Their Prime out on Sub Pop
Despite being on a large and storied record label, Canadian band Jo Passed have shamefully flown under the indie news radar. That is a goddamn travesty as Their Prime is an enjoyable slice of fuzzed-out, hook-ladened rock. This isn’t to say that the album doesn’t have depth. Its lyrical themes address the increasing disparity between a city’s music scene and the feasible sustainability for its members and patrons. No matter as Jo Passed make the ride into forced obsolescence loud, brash, and thoroughly delightful.
