Oh What A Night!

Where to begin. First off, I would like to say I'm so thankful for meeting and rubbing elbows with some very important people, ones in which I know we'll be crossing paths again. Three events, one night, positive energy, laughter and wine! No but seriously, that was a first--I surprised myself aha. Barney's, thank you! From the time I stepped in up until my departure, I felt very welcomed. The associates, guests and fellow shoppers/networkers, it was truly a pleasure. (You guys should really have those more often! IJS) Joan Shepp, thank you! Who'd have thought I stumble upon your event as well. And to top things off...I met JOAN SHEPP 😩🙏🏾. A beautiful woman, with a beautiful spirit, please continue to spread your aura with many more. Kithe Brewster, congrats in order! 👏🏾 The show was amazing, the pieces were exciting, the models 👌🏾 and you, so humble, words can't explain. Keep up the great work, I can't wait to see what else you have in store. Thomas Davis, for the third time...Happy Birthday 🎈 and thank you. Thank you for the invite and sharing your day with us all. You inspire me. My admiration goes beyond knowing you as a fellow Philadelphian but as a man. A man with a plan and acts merely from his own. I wish much more success, as I know it'll be coming. My friends (Akeal, Aziz & Konica), thank you all. My night wouldn't probably have gone as well as it m did out you all present. I had a blast!

Suits on suits!

I don't know quite when the craving for a good suit started for me this year... but it probably kicked in around the time that I saw the gorgeous actress Anna Kendrick sporting one on the red carpet at the Grammys earlier this year !

Suits are such a great way of presenting a sharp polished look, ESPECIALLY on the red carpet or a night out. I LOVE the idea of having nothing on underneath too. I’m known to layer and sometimes take that concept a little overboard, but this is one where I will just have to say yes to less ;) . For all you ladies who have smaller chests like me.. this is a great look to show off a more sexy side of you with out overdoing it. 

I have on the latest fall suit by Ellery!!! Oh Ellery... :) 

 The satin lapel takes a normal everyday suit up to the glam level. The buttons are a nice touch to take this sexy look and make it slightly masculine. You can add a sliver chain across two buttons to make it more of a edgy glam rock look too!

The pants are meant to be slightly loose, not as fitted like Annas, but it still gives you a nice slender look. I love wearing clothes that are loose and comfortable naturally, so this Ellery look is perfect for me. I would keep the jewelry minimal around my neck and focus more on layering jewels on my fingers instead.

 To finish the look, add some cute platform sneakers, classic pump or my personal fave... a chunky patent leather wedge boot, and you are set to go!
