Gaining my life back. Do you care to donate to my cause?
Hi everyone! I have Lupus and the collage above just reflects a few of many hospitalizations that I have had because of it. In 2012, I went into respiratory failure due to pulmary embolisms in both lungs that caused my lungs to bleed. I was on the ventilator for a few months and when I got out of the hospital, I was unable to walk and bound to a wheelchair. At this point, I felt as if my disease was taking my life away from me and it angered me. Being 23 years old, I didn't want to have to depend on others to take care of me and I wanted a better quality of life. It's been about a year since I've been walking now, and I'm slowly trying to get my life back into a "normal" setting as best as I can while having Lupus. I refuse to let lung surgery, kidney failure/dialysis, and Lupus hinder my life. So now that I am gaining my independence back, I want to take a job training program so that I can get a job to support myself. I want to feel like an asset to my society, not a burden to my family. Unfortunately, because this job training program does not apply credits towards a degree, it does not qualify to be covered by financial aid. So I am coming to you as humble as I know and am asking if you could donate something towards the program tuition. I would greatly appreciate it! I would like my life back, and I feel like this will be the first step! Do whatever you need to do: share, reblog, tweet, Facebook, email, anything that will help me to reach my goal. Thank you in advance!
