My yesterday

My favorite part about my job is all the regulars that come through my lane. Theres my friend who plays video games,my anime man,mr.wine buyer,and so many more but one of my favs is this lovely college girl,i call her Cupcake. She is so darling! I haven't seen her since mid January and she came into the store yesterday and came in my lane. When we first met she was wearing sweats and had her hair in a ponytail telling me she was trying to start working out 3x a week. That day she really didn't want to but somehow i made her smile and told her if she ever needed motivation or wanted to talk about her kick ass workouts to come to me and i promise i will do my best to make sure she can do it! She smiled at me and told me she would go to the gym just for me. When i saw her yesterday her eyes lit up and she said "thanks to you i go to the gym 3-4x a week! Thank you Paulina" and i got a little teary eyed and i told her "no thank you! Don't ever feel you can't make a change and if you ever need motivation i'm here every Tuesday and Thursday,and in 3 months when your body is smokin hot i can't wait to see how excited you look and proud you never gave up." She told me she couldn't wait to see me every Tuesday. It really made me smile the rest of my shift knowing just by being interested in a small part of someones life i really helped them change for the better. I didn't think i'd have such an influence on people just by working in a grocery store. It's really amazing the kind of bond i have formed with so many people. It's really rad,yo.
