You know... I think I have a theory as to what happened to the Original Millennium Earl and his...
two successors:
He split his soul in two - One Mana, one Nea. Mana was the one who manifested as the Millennium Earl, and Nea became the so called Fourteenth Noah to stay by his brother’s side, using the stigma as proof (The stigma was present on both Nea and Mana’s current form. This means that Stigma is present on all Noah, even the Earl, and can’t be differentiated from each other). Then one day Mana’s mind became unable to bear the burden of being the only Millennium Earl due to only being half of the whole, and killed their adoptive mother in a bout of insanity. This sparked the whole fight between them and Nea was killed.
However, I think as half of the Millennium Earl’s soul, like the Noah gene, Nea was reborn in a different body. But due to the Innocence in Nea’s new body, his soul was sealed off and put to sleep. Allen’s soul developed as a result.
The above has been jossed. Forgot that someone promised to carry Nea’s memories. Thankfully, I was corrected. The rest however, is still a little viable.
Mana though, was broken due to killing his own brother. Lost in the memories of his brother, he could have ended up working in the circus as the other Noahs had not been awoken yet. Over there, he took on the name Walker.
Everything else goes according to the manga. Except one teeny point that caused a problem: Mana died and an Akuma of his soul was made when Allen called it. How is it possible?
Easy. Mana orchestrated his own death. As a Noah, he is near immortal unless he is killed by Innocence. And why would he go and fake his death? Possibly when one of the Noah informed him that more of them were gathering and he was needed (Road is the most likely messenger.), he remembered that Nea had killed all but Road in their battle with each other. So he faked his death, and quite possibly animated an empty Akuma skeleton to attack Allen and curse him, giving Allen an advantage against Akuma and a means to survive with his activated Innocence. At the same time, this allowed Mana to distance himself from Allen and he soon forgot that Allen housed Nea’s soul.
Now, this is mostly speculation due to the latest chapter, but it make some sense doesn’t it. Then again, chapter 220 will confirm this, but I want to speculate till the chapter is out next month. What do you all think?
