Yesterday, I, together with my friends Chad and Angel, went to SMX Convention Center in Pasay City because of the Jobstreet.com job fair - hoping to find our first job ever. :)) The place was crowded. Long lines are queued. Many job opportunities are present. And yet, I didn’t feel satisfied about it. I printed a lot of resumés, like 30 copies, but I didn’t gave them all there. There were few companies that I’m interested in. It’s not about being choosey or what. But most of them are BPOs and agencies. It’s about being practical. I want to land a job wherein I will enjoy and do what I love. Maybe today, another set companies will be there and I bet those will be better than yesterday’s set. I just wish that my efforts will pay off soon. Whether I did it online, walk-in, or from job fairs. I don’t want to become a bummer and I want to help my family as soon as possible. Not to mention that I want to experience what it feels like earning your own money.
Of course, that day didn’t end there. Me and my friends went watching The Host at SM Mall of Asia. It’s a book-based movie written by Stephenie Meyer of Twilight. Do watch it guys! It’s a genre of love story and fantasy. I was bored and felt that the story was slow at first, but when you get to the middle part of it, you’ll surely won’t take your eyes off the screen. I even rejected a phone call that I bet’s a job interview or something. :)) Anyway, I enjoyed The Host. It’s worth a buck or two. :)
