One notable example is Lundy Bancroft. He claims that any man who says "I was abused by a woman" is probably lying.

Especially if he doesn't fit Bancroft's idea of what a male victim should be like, which includes "being sympathetic to female victims".

If a woman claimed she was abused by a man, and she hated male victims of abuse, anyone who said that "proved" she was lying would rightly be seen as crazy.

But Bancroft is held up as an expert solely because he tells sexists what they want to hear.

I've also seen people say men falsely accused of sexual misconduct should just shut up, because defending themselves from lies hurts actual victims.

I guess the falsely accused guy doesn't count as an "actual victim".

I've also seen people who seriously say "asking for proof" is some kind of manipulation.
