23. ....out of relief. 

She’s frantically searching the databases, hoping to find a trace of wherever his last trail was.

He’s been gone for a long while, and the anxiety only ever keeps building for Sombra. The last time she heard from him was from an explosion that cut off their comms to each other. The days turned into weeks. 

He means a lot to her. Even if he thinks not, but she thinks he does. 

And not to mention she’s been drinking a bit to ease herself, but she can’t help but to keep looking as her brain works out scenarios that he could have taken if he survived the explosion. 

As she cracks open another can of beer, the security locks on her doors at her safehouse unlock, and she swiftly turns around, machine pistol in hand, but it drops to the floor, along with her body as the door opens, revealing the familiar figure standing. 

“Now that’s not a nice way to greet someone, darlin.” McCree tips his hat. 

She suddenly finds the strength to rise, and runs into him headstrong. 

He absorbs the force of her charge, and runs his metal prosthetic arm along her purple-streaked hair. 

“Stupid...vaquero...” She says against that familiar red serape of his, tears threatening to actually leave her eyes and he can’t help but to chuckle. 

“Now now, darlin...I’m here now, and in one piece.” He continues to stroke her hair. 

As she inches away from his serape, she looks at him, a few more scars on his face the last time she saw him, but she takes aim, and kisses him. 

Oh she can taste whiskey, and the smoke from a cigarette he was probably smoking on his way here. Classic Joel. She’s just glad he’s back and safe.

Her arms tighten around him, and as she inches away she hear him laugh. 

“Don’t...worry me like that again.” She threatens to him. 

“I thought you don’t worry about me at all.” He smirks. 

“Well this time was an exception!” She bites back. 

“Then I’ll be more careful next time.” McCree smiles. 

“Please make sure you mean those words.” Sombra whispers.  

“I will.” He says, and Sombra leans back into his face, delivering another kiss of her relief for his return.

Thank you for sending an ask. Sorry it took so long.🌊 What’s the hardest thing for you to draw? Arms and legs, honestly. Hands are hard too but arms and legs are hard. Also just the male figure in general. It’s “easy” to draw it but not exactly since whenever I do it always looks stiff. Omg thank you!! That’s really kind of you <3 Well, I’m into Harry Potter, Avatar, LoK, Fullmetal Alchemist, Naruto, DBZ, Adventure Time and I was into Bleach before that trainwreck of an ending :p I guess that’s it? There’s probably more but these are the ones I like the most. Thank you so much once again!
