Chenford Fic Week Series - Rest Your Head On Me, My Dear - 53k

I had this crazy idea to do ALL of the Chenford Fic Week prompts, but to break up each day into a different period of time in their lives. So I started writing, and realized pretty quickly that I’m actually a very slow writer and couldn’t possibly finish 42(!) prompts. But I kept running with the idea, and luckily some AMAZING collaborators decided to join in on the fun. We didn't quite finish all of the prompts, but I think the spirit of the original idea was still achieved.

Most of these ficlets can loosely exist in the same ‘verse, and are meant to paint a full picture of Tim and Lucy’s lives and their relationship.

Last Sentence/One Cool Thing Meme!

Decided to do both of these I’ve seen floating around! 

Last sentence Meme: This is from something I am furiously trying to finish outlining. It’s in-Panem AU with Everlark. It’s not even close to being finished, but here it is.

The Mellarks cry out as the boys name is called, but Katniss’s throat constricted so tightly no sound could be made. Or she thought.

And she didn’t need to see through the tears forming in her eyes to make out Peeta approaching the stage. 

And Cool Things quote is from A Gale/ Johanna fic I am writing called Silver Lining.

It as just then she noticed they were different then Katniss’s eyes, though. Gales were lighter. If Brainless had storm clouds for eyes, his was like lighter grey at the edge of the storm. 

Jo snorted at her next thought. They were the literal silver lining. 

Hope these are interesting. Both are still being written and edited! Not going to tag anyone in particular, but defiantly do it if you’d like!

Ohh so. I love headcanons. Some of my favorite things to do with shipping. Gonna give two!

So, everlark. Def headcanon they are like, the most physically affectionate couple. I would not say they dabble in a ton of PDA, because Katniss is Katniss. But they for sure are always holding hands, hugging or touching somehow. It's just about constant and without it to long they *genuinely* miss it and crave it.

Johanna teases Gale relentlessly about his crush on Katniss, once Katniss and Gale work things out and any real sting over it is over.

What are some of your random Johale headcanons?

Johanna is never actually jealous of Katniss, or for Gales past feelings for her. She knows and understands they are in the past. She does however, for a time, have an issue with HIS worry about how she feels about the past between them. It comes to a head and gets handled, but it is A Thing I think.

They are one anothers BEST enablers. Even if it is encourageing maybe not the best things.

Johanna in the beginning, when she decides whatever she and Gale aren't a casual thing, actually makes a great effort to be super open and demonstrate that she loves him. She can see how Katniss not returning his feelings hurt him, and makes the active choice whatever happens between them not to let him feel that way again.

Gale, in the same vein, NEVER allows Johanna to feel alone. After having everyone taken from her it's easy for her to act like she only has herself and Gale does his best to fight agasint that.
