Battlestar Galactica will be released on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray on July 11 via Universal. The 1978 film is a re-edited version of the sci-fi TV series’ pilot episode.

Richard A. Colla directs from a script by Battlestar Galactica creator Glen A. Larson. Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict, and Lorne Greene star. John Dykstra (Star Wars, Spider-Man) supervised the special effects.

Battlestar Galactica is presented in 4K with HDR and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.1 Sensurround sound. No special features are included.

In the deepest reaches of space, it is a fight to save all human life from extinction in this sci-fi adventure that launched the Battlestar Galactica phenomenon!
