Mini portrait of Boris Karloff as John Ellman in The Walking Dead (1936) I drew in the note space of November 23rd on this day in 2022, which is the day I watched the film for the first time (ignore the fact it says December - it's because it was the last week of November, I think, that it showed the next month).
This was the very first miniature portrait I drew in my diary, which probably shows, because he's not very defined and a bit wonky! I drew him fairly quickly though, these days I spend way too long on my diary illustrations.
I love this movie so much, even though it is quite similar to Frankenstein at times (which is probably the reason I like it as much as I do). I really hope to learn the piano theme from it one day, when my skills improve and I can read music better. Unfortunately the only copy of the film I had access to was on Internet Archive, which is now gone 😢 I'm going to have to find it on DVD.
