Some people in my broader circle of friends recorded this as a fundraiser for the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund (administered by the Women's Foundation of Minnesota). This was done in memory of Renee Macklin Good, shot by ICE on January 7, 2026; as well as Alex Pretti, shot by federal agents on January 24, 2026.

Switched to John Fields piano nocturnes because I needed the extra happiness boost, and they’re so beautiful. His piano work always makes me want to sit down for hours of piano practice, but it’s also perfect ballet music for barre work. So, so pretty.
(I need to take some adult “just for fun” ballet classes. I haven’t danced in years but I hear Fields or Chopin and I automatically start doing tendus and relevés in the galleries.)
