I am uploading the pages of Joe Hill's short story "The Black Phone" for anyone who wants to read it but cannot find it. Under the read more. It's 30 pages (7,250 words) and long though, so don't open it unless you're ready to read.
You can listen to it instead, if you prefer that method. There are audiobook uploads on youtube, just short of an hour long. [Female Narrator] | [Male Narrator]
It's definitely worth reading/listening to in order to see all the ways the movie is similar (direct quotes) and all the ways it isn't.
OK YALL
I just watched the movie “The Black Phone” and ofc I have to make a outsiders au for it now 😼
Under the cut is obviously spoilers for the movie/story, and horror-related stuff (It’s not bad but feel free to look up what the movie deals with)

That scene where the grabber says “I’ll keep my word, johnny” or Wtv was also in the book but it was way creepier. Kind of a cool thing to keep tho BcUZ i visibly cringed when I read it
Below the read more is the omitted ending from Joe Hill's short story "The Black Phone." It is five pages of an extended ending, known as "The Missing Chapter."
The full main story is [here].
